What is a Report
A report is a customisable export created within Omnia that can be shared with outside parties directly to an email inbox or a (S)FTP server. A report can share information given to Omnia by feeds back to you as well as competitor information associated with products such as min, max, and average prices. Beyond that, for Dynamic Pricing customers reports are the easiest and most direct way to share the Price Advice generated by the Omnia Strategy Tree.
You are able to schedule when to receive reports, and they can be customised as needed with the ability to add and map as many fields as you want, combining any number of existing fields with the additional price advice and/or competitor data.
How to Create a Report
To create a report, you will first need to navigate to the ‘exports’ section of the Omnia toolbar and select the tab ‘report’
Once you select the ‘Reports’ tab, you can create a new report by clicking Add new report at the top left of the page.
You will be prompted by the following screen where you can appropriately name your report. For the ‘Select Shop’ and ‘Select Template’ options, you can leave them as is since the default settings are the correct ones to use
Filters, Top X, Export, and Schedules in a Report
You can navigate to the following pages in reports at the top section of the selected report or directly from the overview page.
Filters:
You can filter your report based on any field mapped in your report. The filter works in the same way as the import mapping. Find more info here.
Top X:
Similar to filters, you can use the TopX function to filter the report as needed. For more info about the TopX filter, look at this page
Exports:
The export section allows you to decide what fields are exported in the report and where the report is exported to. Use the ‘Export feed via’ section to decide if you want to receive the report by email or (S)FTP, filling in the desired export location and format.
Then in the ‘CSV Settings’, assuming you chose to export the report as a CSV you can make adjustments to how the CSV is configured. If you chose JSON or XML this is irrelevant.
In the ‘Field Sorting’ section, you can also decide which mapped fields are exported. By default, only the OmniaUniqueID is selected, so be sure to select all other fields you want exported whenever you create or update a report. You can also change the order in which the fields are exported by dragging them up or down.
Schedules:
You can choose to schedule when you receive your export by simply adding a schedule and choosing the cadence for which you want to receive the report.
*Note: report time schedules do not take schedules of price recalculations into account; please make sure to align the schedules if Price Advices is included in reports
**Note: All your report time schedules are set to CET/CEST time zone (Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna)
