Migration PriceWatch data to Omnia 2.0

Changes in data format:

There are minor changes on 3 aspects:

  1. The data source names. The source name of the data sources will change to a more consistent format that includes the exact domain of the source.
  2. The Shop ID will remain empty for scraped marketplaces or price comparison websites (Google Shopping, Amazon, Idealo etc). For these particular sources, this is an artificial ID and not one provided by the data source itself. The Shop IDs will remain the same for sources we can access via a partnership and an established API connection, like Kieskeurig, Vergelijk, and Tweakers.
  3. Popularity data will not be available and remain empty in the PriceWatch Export file.

Shop ID:

The Shop ID will remain empty for scraped marketplaces or price comparison websites (Google Shopping, Amazon, Idealo etc). For these particular sources, this is an artificial ID and not one provided by the data source itself. The ID changed if the name of the shop would change and this ID did not provide stability.

The Shop IDs will remain the same for sources we can access via a partnership and an established API connection, like Kieskeurig, Vergelijk, and Tweakers. For these sources the ID would remain stable if the name of the shop changes.
The ShopID will remain the same for the following sources:
  • Kieskeurig
  • Vergelijk
  • Tweakers

For all other sources the Shop ID field will be empty. As a reference the Shop name can be used.

Popularity data

The Dutch/Belgium comparison websites (Kieskeurig, Tweakers, Vergelijk), provided popularity data to Omnia 1.0, which was on particular cases added to the PriceWatch export files. This data will stop being processed. The column will remain available in the csv export to make sure that the number or columns stay the same. The value within this column will remain empty.
